Last Year's Scavenger Hunt Event - 2018

The Incredible’s, the Motley Minion Misfits and the Fish Hoek Fairies were just 3 of the 17 teams that made their way to the Fish Hoek Life Saving Club for the start of the Fish Hoek 100 and Beyond Scavenger Hunt Experience on the 8th September.

The participants wore different costumes and vibrant colours that added to the jovial atmosphere of the day as they prepared to compete in an 'Amazing Race' style event.

Each Team of 4 was handed an envelope containing clues to whacky tasks (ranging from singing Karaoke, doing the Mexican wave with complete strangers and finding strange objects) that were positioned around the Peninsula.

Each Team had to complete as many tasks as possible and return to the finish line by 4pm.  The Team that  completed the most tasks and earned the most bonus points in the allotted time would result as the eventual Champion’s and walk away with the Fish Hoek 100 and Beyond floating trophy (specially designed and donated by local resident, sculptor and trophy maker Eric Tollner of Red Earth ).

The day was filled with laughter, fun and spirit as the teams raced around the southern Peninsula in an attempt to complete the tasks.

The day ended back at the Life Saving Club, with some borewors rolls, refreshments and a prize giving ceremony, where Team “Oh Dear” walked away with the Spirit award, Team WWWF walked away with some fun prizes as runners up and the Daxie Diva’s took top honors and were crowned the first Fish Hoek Scavenger Hunt Experience champions and walked away with the coveted trophy.

The Fish Hoek 100 and Beyond team along with our partners for this event, the Scavenger Hunt Experience organizers, would like to thank all establishments and shop owners who participated in the day, along with everyone who donated prizes, as well as the local resident’s and all competitors for an amazing day.

All profits raised from the day are to be allocated towards security initiatives in the Valley and the pet food collected by competing teams will be donated to TEARS.

We're looking forward to another adventure with all of you in 2019.
